FERTILITY
Relief from morning sickness, back ache, sciatica, breech baby and other common pregnancy issues. Why ride it out until baby arrives? Prepare your body for labor so it’s likely to begin spontaneously. If you’re planning a medical induction, this preparation will support its success. You can begin preparing your body for labor at 34 weeks.
PREGNANCY
Unless it’s your jam, being in pain wears our spirits down. It muddies our ability to think, cope, and care about the things that light us up. We become less animated, more contracted and cranky. Why should your favorite childhood memory be your back not hurting? Acute injury or chronic pain, you have options.
PAIN
Recovery from birth - vaginal or surgical. Combined with pelvic floor rehab therapy, acupuncture significantly improves pelvic function and relieves pain. Depression and anxiety interfere with your enjoyment of life and your child. Low milk supply can chip away at your confidence. You don’t have to weather it alone.
POSTPARTUM
Balancing the erotic and the domestic is not a puzzle we solve, it’s a paradox we manage. It’s not enough to simply not be dead. I will want to know about what sparks your hope and keeps you engaged with possibility. And how it is that vitality seeps out of you. Our work is to help you connect with your aliveness. If you are in a romantic relationship, it can be helpful for your partner to be part of our sessions.

We’ll start with a conversation about what brings you in. In your first visit, we’ll go over your health history in depth and you’ll receive a complete acupuncture treatment. The first acupuncture visit runs about 80 minutes.
Follow up visits are 50-60 minutes, depending on your current needs; this might include cupping, moxa, gua sha, tui na, and other body work. I customize each treatment with care and treat only one person at a time.
I will suggest herbal formulas, dietary changes, home follow up care, and/or lifestyle adjustments if I feel they would benefit you. I will always send you home with acupressure homework if you’re seeing me for labor preparation.

MY FEE
As an out-of-network provider, I do not process insurance in-house. However, I am happy to provide you with a receipt for you to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. I recommend checking with your insurance company to see if you are covered for acupuncture and, if so, what specific conditions your insurance covers acupuncture for.
